We were pleased to have Praminda Caleb-Solly, Professor of Embodied Intelligence from the University of Nottingham, join our AGM on 24th October 2023 to give an interesting talk on the use of telepresence robots to encourage social interaction and increase physical activity in older people.

We’re having trouble with our phones at the ILC, so please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org instead. If you’ve left us a message in the last few days and haven’t heard back yet, please get back in touch with an email address if possible, and we’ll do our best to help that way while we wait for the phones to be fixed.
We understand that there has been some difficulty getting through to us on the phone in recent months, as we have unfortunately been so short staffed. To improve this, we now have a phone menu (press 1 for…) to help answer questions without leaving a message, or to help you get through to the right person if needed.
Thank you to our friends at MDS Electrical Contracting in Trowbridge for donating their time and expertise to install our new outdoor heated defibrillator cabinet free of charge. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, and we have now exchanged our current defibrillator for an external unit, making it accessible to our neighbours and the local community, in addition to our staff and visitors.
With the warmer weather hopefully nearly upon us, we’re pleased to now have a range of easy grip gardening tools here for assessment at the ILC, sent to us by our friends at peta-uk.com. Give us a call on 01380 871007 if you’d like to find out more, or to make an appointment to try them out.
